OUR APPROACH

From your request to a defined scope.

Building work connects spaces, materials and organisation. From the initial description to reviewing finishes, each stage clarifies the next.

Understand the property and the intended result
01

Understand the property and the intended result

The initial description brings together the location, property type, affected rooms and intended result. In an occupied home, areas that must remain usable also matter; in an empty property, access and surface availability take priority. A plan and photographs help prepare the discussion of the work without replacing a site assessment.

Details to establish at this stage

Affected rooms, retained elements, priorities and property availability.

Assess substrates, quantities and access
02

Assess substrates, quantities and access

Measurements must relate to actual conditions: flooring requires assessment of the substrate and levels, while plaster needs checks of adhesion and the causes of detachment. Surfaces to retain, material handling routes and interactions with other work are identified. Structural alterations or changes to building services require the relevant technical assessments.

Details to establish at this stage

Separate surface measurements, visible conditions, levels, access and interactions.

Describe the work in the quotation
03

Describe the work in the quotation

The document separates operations, quantities, materials and finishes, together with the agreed protection, removal and waste handling. Open decisions are clarified before acceptance. Timing, payments and changes need a written reference: adding a room or changing a material can affect both cost and sequence.

Details to establish at this stage

Quantities, materials, inclusions, exclusions and conditions agreed in writing.

Organise stages and review finishes
04

Organise stages and review finishes

The sequence runs from preparation to finishing, allowing for material drying and access to rooms. On completion, work is compared with the agreed scope and any outstanding items are recorded. Cleaning and maintenance guidance follows the materials actually used.

Details to establish at this stage

Agreed sequence, specified finishes, outstanding items and material guidance.
